The proceeds from the evening are purchasing food boxes for the mainly elderly who, having worked 40 years receive only the legal minimum pension of £60 a month. Rabbi Misha Kapustin - their Rabbi - says there a dozen or more people in dire need but who do not qualify for support from the United Joint Distribution Committee. The evening's ticket price will provide an elderly Jewish person a food parcel that will provide their essential diet for a month!
